Michael H. Summers, 69, of Chicago Illinois, died in early 2019. He was born on May 12, 1949 in Chicago. His death, attributed to complications of diabetes, occurred before he turned 70 years old.
Mike was baptized in the late 1960s and attended church in the Chicago area before moving to Warren, Michigan in the 1970s. He lived in Warren for many years before moving to Detroit. He lived in the city until 2012 when he moved back to Chicago to live with his sister. Mike was the youngest of a family that included three other brothers and one sister.
A man by the name of Robert Alden once stated, "There is not enough darkness in all the world to put out the light of even one small candle." Mike was a small candle who helped illuminate the life of many people.
Mike was a great friend to many Christians. The pain of his loss is only comforted by the knowledge of the overwhelming joy we shall forever share in the resurrection of the righteous.
