Sue Anderson, recovering from knee surgery.

David Bender, 51, needs rehabilitation program to remove himself from medication. Anyone who has dealt with this situation, please contact him at 871 S. Main St., Trailer 174, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.

Susan and Bill Anderson (cousin of Keith Anderson), severely injured in a small-plane crash. The outlook is not good.

Daniel and Kathy Dardiz (son and daughter-in-law of Pat and Frank Dardiz of Fern Park, FL) are expecting their first child (and first grandchild) and are asking for prayers that the pregnancy and delivery to go well.

Ida Green, 3817 Belview Dr., Leesville, LA 71446, suffering from arthritis in her right knee and also suffers from high blood pressure.

Mary Sliger of Ava, MO, has had an ongoing problem for the past nine years, following heart surgery, and later brain surgery. Apparently medication she is taking is affecting other organs in her body.

Abby Waters of Columbia, SC, is a young wife and mother of a 2-year-old. She was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

Mary Craft, Jefferson, TX (sister of Jewel McCollum), cancer of the uterus.

Leroy Gates, Georgia (brother of Jewel McCollum), prostate cancer.

Darwin Lee, P.O. Box 2333, Bismarck, ND 58502, stomach problems.

Tommy McMurray, 301 Mason Dr., Broken Arrow, OK, recovering from a stroke.

Tom McMurray (son of Tommy), 301 Mason Dr., Broken Arrow, OK, fell and broke his thumb. He also suffers from muscular dystrophy.

Catherine Watkins, 3110 Towne Park Dr. No. 601, Tyler, TX 75701, multiple health problems due to overmedication.

Jessica Clements continues to improve dramatically after being critically injured in Iraq on May 5, 2004. Family members were informed by doctors that she was 95 percent brain damaged. After numerous operations and comatose for almost one month, she was taken off life support. One day later, she woke up and asked for her mother. She continues to improve and has just recently become engaged to her boyfriend of five years. Thanks to all those who prayed for Jessica.

John Chermok, 106 W. 3rd St., Perry, KS 66073, was recently diagnosed with lung cancer. Surgery is not an option, but he will receive radiation treatment for six weeks.

Betty Clark (sister-in-law to John Chermok), Lawrence, KS, is awaiting test results for a spot on her lung.

 


 

 
 
Prayer Requests
 
Eileen DeFalco, recently diagnosed with breast cancer and recovering from a mastectomy.

Martin and Connie Enright, 308 Sydney Martin Rd., Lafayette, LA 70507, are both experiencing health problems.

Richard and Louise Gilliam, 5344 Whitten St., Fort Worth, TX 76132, need prayers. Richard is having a leg amputated due to diabetes complications. Louise is suffering from Alzheimer's disease. Prayers and cards of encouragement would be appreciated.

Marie Goff, mother of Jake Nass of New Jersey, is now full-time caregiver of her mother. Prayers for both of them would be appreciated.

Jacob, 8 years old, of Washington state, fell in his backyard and punctured his kidney. It is now infected and he is under heavy antibiotics.

Emma Monmouth is seriously ill in Marshall, Texas. She is being treated for double pneumonia.

Pat Scherich (wife of Frank), recently diagnosed with advanced cancer.

Aimee and Gary Smith, 104 Crepe Myrtle Rd., Whitehouse, TX 75791. Aimee is pregnant and having complications.
 
Obituaries
Dorothy Hartman
Dorothy Hartman died Sunday, June 6, at 1:30 am at her home. Her family and church members had been taking care of her with help from hospice. A graveside funeral was held on Tuesday morning. Cards for the family may be sent to her husband, Robert Hartman, Rt. 3, Box 276-1, Muldrow, OK 74948.

Jerry Hyatt
Jerry Hyatt (brother-in-law of Wayne Schatzle) was taken to the hospital June 5 for a cancerous tumor on lung and liver. He died there later that day. Please pray for his wife, two sons, one daughter and three grandchildren. Jerry was only 64 years of age and will be greatly missed. Van Lisman
Van Lisman of Harbor City, Calif., well known to many former students and employees, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2004, at the age of 82. He was a longtime member of God's church, baptized in 1962. Van was born Aug. 17, 1921, in San Pedro, Calif. He graduated from San Pedro High School in 1939; attended the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry; and served in the Navy from 1943 to 1946. Upon discharge from the Navy, he joined his father, Hal, in his optometric practice in San Pedro. He also worked one day a week on the Pasadena campus of Ambassador College helping students and others with their optical needs during the '60s on through the early '80s. Van retired in 1984. Van was dedicated to his family and through many years of illness maintained comfort through his unwavering faith in God and His way. He passed away peacefully at home with his wife and daughter by his side. Van was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Mabel Lisman, and by his grandson Erik Lisman. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy; son Gary Lisman, and his wife Margi, of Oregon City, Ore.; son Lee Lisman and his wife Pat of Brush Prairie, Wash.; son Ray Lisman, also of Oregon City; and daughter Linda, wife of Walt Moffitt, of Folsom, Calif.; plus his sister Loma Clayson, formerly of Pasadena and now living with her daughter in Arlington, Texas; as well as nine grandchildren and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Don Owens
Don Owens of Redding, Calif., passed away. He was a longtime member of the Church of God, attending with congregations in Southern California and in the Bay area before moving to Redding. Please keep his wife, Helen, and his family in prayer.

Jack E. Wroten
Jack E. Wroten, 75, of Flint, Texas, died May 9 in Tyler, Texas. Mr. Wroten, a member of the Church of God International, was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Fort Worth to the late Thomas Vincent and Zelma Mae Wooley Wroten. He was a veteran of the Korean War and the Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, Deloris; sons Jack R. Wroten and wife Karan of Flint; Marvin Wroten and wife Elaine of Paris, Texas; Michael Wroten and wife Kathy of Chelsea, Maine; and John Davis and wife Gina of Grand Saline, Texas; daughters Jennifer Wroten of Dallas and Kim Stephenson of Whitehouse, Texas; several brothers, sisters and grandchildren.
