Organizer relates conference plans TUPELO, Miss.--The conference for Church of God women set for July 25-27 in Birmingham, Ala., has three sponsors, reports Sondra Beam of Tupelo, an organizer. The Journal reported March 31 that the conference is sponsored by United Christian Ministries of Birmingham (Ray Wooten, director). However, its two other sponsors are the Sabbatarian Church of God of Tupelo (Terry Beam, pastor) and Our Only Hope Ministry of Brevard, N.C. (Danny and Agnes Jacques). The conference will take place at the Marriott Hotel at 1390 Grandview Pkwy. in Birmingham. Reserve your room at (888) 426-5171 and mention the conference for a special room rate. "We have wonderful, insightful ladies lined up to speak," said Mrs. Beam, "and most of these fantastic women are coming from a very long way away and donating their time to speak to us. So please make your plans to be there and take advantage of this walk with Christ." The reservation fee is $65 for women over 18, or $50 for 18 and under. You can print out a reservation form at www.unitedchristianministries.com. "We are expecting between 60 and 100 ladies from all over the U.S.," said Mrs. Beam. "We hope that this will be a time of refreshing our spirits as well as relaxing our bodies and fellowship with our sisters in Christ."
