FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich.-- In a hurry and need to look up the date and weekday of a Holy Day? Have you ever been unsure which fish on a restaurant menu is biblically clean to eat? The Journal's Web site now offers a convenient way to access important Church of God information when and where it's needed, reported Web-site manager Alan Ruth.
The Journal's site has Web pages, accessible through Web-enabled cell phones and other mobile devices (PDAs, etc.), that:
- List Holy Day Dates and the weekdays they fall on for years 2007 to 2015.
- List biblically clean fish
- List biblically clean land animals and birds
- Lists groups offering a live connection to their Sabbath services
Church members can view these materials by typing in thejournal.org (or thejournal.org/mobile/ ) in their cell phone's Web browser. This new section is simple to use, easy to read on a cell's screen and downloads fast.
TheJournal.org is only the second known Church of God-related site providing a service to visitors using 21st century mobile technology, according to Alan.
In 2006 The Journal: News of the Churches of God at TheJournal.org will attract more than 365,000 actual visitors, which is a 60% increase in its popularity compared to the previous year.
