Obituaries
Brenda (Barfield) Davis, 32, of Cary, Ill., died Dec. 16. Brenda had suffered with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Brian, and three small children. She was the daughter of Kelly and Vinita Barfield of Big Sandy. Before her marriage she worked in landscaping at Ambassdor College and later at Stewart Printing Co. and Austin Bank in Big Sandy. Carol Ford, of Snellville, Ga., died Monday, Dec. 11, of cancer. She had been hospitalized since Nov. 30. She is survived by her husband, Mike, children Tara, Kelly and Cody and numerous other family members. L.C. Henson of Jayton, Texas, died Nov. 17 of a heart attack. Mr. Henson was a former resident of Big Sand, and employee of Ambassador College. He is survived by his wife, Floy, and five grown children. Cards may be sent to Mrs. Henson in care of Teresa Nuding, Rt. 3, Jayton, Texas 79528.
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Key, wife of Marshall Key of Bloomingdale, Ga., died Oct. 27. She was a member of the Intercontinental Church of God.
Judy Lee of Gladewater, Texas, died of cancer. The funeral was Thursday, Dec. 7. She was a member of the Worldwide Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Alan, and son Justin Henderson.
Ralph E. Mosier, uncle of Joseph, Margaret, and Beth Riley died of congestive heart failure Dec. 8. Please pray for his family and relatives in Ohio and Kansas and surrounding areas.
Isabel Carrie (Lewis) Shles passed away at her home in Chula Vista, Calif., Sept. 5. Isabel was born Aug. 23, 1911, to Leon E. Lewis and Edith Belle Hitchins Lewis in Morgan, Utah. She married Carlton William Shles, also of Morgan, March 8, 1934. Carlton preceded Isabel in death Aug. 12, 1990. Isabel and Carlton were baptized in 1953 while living in Phoenix, Ariz., by a visiting baptizing team of ministers from the then Radio Church of God. Isabel and Carlton were dedicated members of the Church of God from that time. Graveside services were conducted Sept. 13 at 1 p.m. by Dr. Roderick Meredith in the La Vista Memorial Park, National City, Calif. Isabel now rests beside her devoted husband, Carlton, awaiting the Resurrection at the return of Jesus Christ.
