Weddings

Michael Jesse Cryer and Eva Leona Smith announce their engagement. Leona is the daughter of Mitchell and Anita Smith of Lindale, Texas. Michael is the son of Melvin and Lia Cryer of Felt, Okla. Anniversaries

Pete and Roberta Wolf of Kerman, Calif., will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 18, 2000. Alexander, Gracie (mother of Wayne Alexander of Florida), recovering from cancer surgery.

Armstrong, Mary, Toledo, Ohio, was away from home when her apartment building burned to the ground. She lost everything including her life's savings. She is currently living with her brother. Bebee, Bill, Austin, TX, has been diagnosed with flesh-eating bacteria. He is unconscious, on life support and the bacteria has spread throughout his body.

Cordell, Bill, PO Box 767, Camdenton, MO 65020 is requesting prayers for his wife Betty, who is currently hospitalized in critical condition following a stroke.

Davis, Cliff, San Augustine, TX (formerly of Austin), has been diagnosed with lung cancer. He and his wife, Sara, are currently in Houston at M.D. Anderson Hospital to assess best treatment. Sara also has serious health problems.

Hubert, M.R., India, is asking prayers for all the Christians in India where the persecution is unbearable. Hindu fundamentalists are indirectly influencing their jobs and professions.

McComb, Harriet, 19072 Country Estates Cir., Flint, TX 75762, recovering from surgery for melanoma cancer. Further surgery is expected.

Morton, Walter, No. 901175, 2400 Wallace Pack Rd, Navasota, TX 77869, suffering from epileptic seizures.

Selig, Bill, Austin, TX suffers from diabetes, bone cancer and prostate cancer, and is recovering from a stroke. His wife has just been diagnosed with a malignant lump under her arm. Their son Mike died last year from kidney cancer. The family is requesting prayer.

Shaw, Barbie and Jason, Concord, NC, gave birth to Victoria Evelyn on July 11, 2000. She had a normal delivery, but was born with multiple heart birth defects. She faces one or more surgeries in the future. Prayers would be very much appreciated.

Sherman, Jake, 1908B West Loop, Austin, TX 78758, suffering with painful arthritis.

Scott, Doris, heart attack, currently in CCU at Hurley Hospital, One Hurley Plaza, Flint, MI 48503.

"Tim", requests prayers for himself and his three sons in midst of a custody battle.

Waller, Lloyd (brother of Luther), has diabetes and will undergo glaucoma operation in the near future.

Warren, Arthur, 14 (son of Steve and Terri), Mechanic Falls, Maine recently underwent open heart surgery to repair a hole between the chambers of his heart. He is recovering on schedule. Arthur's twin brother Elliott, died unexpectedly last December. Please pray for Arthur's full recovery.

Obituaries

Faye Fisher, 79, of Big Sandy, wife of Marrion Fisher and mother of Arthur, Charles, David, and Eric Fisher and Bernice Burson, died Monday July 17, 2000. Graveside services were conducted by Mr. Wayne Cole.
