DAVAO CITY, Philippines--Fifty-four campers and staff members successfully completed the first Philippine United Youth Camp based at the Girl Scouts of the Philippines Training facilities in Toril, Davao City, April 18-25.

The youths--16 boys and 28 girls--included seven who served as counselors and assistant counselors. Six full-time and four part-time staff members made up the administrative team.

Because of keen interest in biblical and spiritual matters, with developments in the church (as reflected by the flood of questions submitted by the campers), an unusual two consecutive-evening sessions of an open forum (which attempted to arrive at a consensus) took place earlier in the week.

Campers also heard from Aaron Dean of Gladewater, Texas, a member of United's council of elders, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, who was on his way to Bangkok.

A two-week camp is planned for next year.
